ICRI Baltimore-Washington DC Chapter
The Baltimore-Washington DC Chapter of the International Concrete Repair Institute (ICRI BWDC) held his Annual Concrete Repair Project Award banquet on November 5, 2015. From all nominated projects, the NASA 1(3) Wallops Island Causeway Bridge over Cat Creek Project received 3rd place. The main repair technique utilized to restore the bridge and prolong its live, was CFRP and GFRP strengthening. Present to receive the award with Freyssinet, Inc. was Mr. Hratch Pakhchanian, Bridge Engineer Branch Leader from the Federal Highway Administration, Federal Lands Highway Office of Bridges and Structures. The Federal Highway Administration was the contract administrator for the NASA, owner of the structure.
