Freyssinet, Inc. awarded 3rd place for the Williams Roth Jr Rehabilitation project at the 2016 Outstanding Repair Project Award of the Baltimore-Washington, DC ICRI Chapter

Freyssinet, Inc. provided the rehabilitation of the William V. Roth, Jr. Bridge for the US Army Corp of Engineer. The cable-stayed bridge of 4,650 feet long and 127 feet wide, constructed between 1991 and 1994, opened to the public on December 23, 1995. After an inspection conducted in 2013, it was determined that the bridge was in need of structural repairs.

The project included:

Repairs of deteriorated external post-tensioning anchorage pour-backs and ducts, expansion joints and electrical conduit expansion joints, epoxy crack injection, concrete rehabilitation of interior and exterior of box girders

Further repairs include grout plugs, repair of all stay connecting sleeves, as well as epoxy crack injection and concrete rehabilitation of interior and exterior of pylons.

Repairs were completed on October 6 2015.
