These systems are designed to absorb and dissipate seismic energy, helping to reduce the impact of earthquakes on structures. They perform especially well under sudden stress, such as seismic shocks or vessel impacts, while allowing smooth movement during normal conditions. Damping systems can also be combined with isolation technologies like High Damping Rubber Bearings to control displacement and reduce internal stress.
